TOAC achieves CIDB grading

MEDIA STATEMENT 9 September 2020

Industrial HVAC engineering company Two Oceans Air Conditioning (TOAC) has received a level 8ME grading from the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), which qualifies the company to tender for projects with a maximum value of up to R200m.

“With the current pressure on the commercial construction sector, the focus is on speciality projects. Evident pressure on the health care system has called for the acceleration of facility upgrades and new builds. The demand for large data centres is on-going and this grading puts us in a good position to compete on these types of projects, considering the experience we already have,” says Stefan Sander, Managing Director of TOAC.

The CIDB was established by Act of Parliament (Act 38 of 2000) to promote a regulatory and developmental framework that builds:

  • Construction industry delivery capability for South Africa’s social and economic growth.
  • A proudly South African construction industry that delivers to globally competitive standards.

The CIDB grading makes it possible for TOAC to provide its services to the Public Sector, as no company can perform any works to government departments without this grading.
